Industry Veteran to Lead Company’s Strategic Growth Initiatives by Addressing Opportunities Related to Value Added Resellers and Emerging Cloud Solutions.
ATLANTA, GA – MicroCorp, Inc., the premier national distributor of telecom and cloud solutions, announced today that Phil Keenan, a 28-year industry veteran and current Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for MicroCorp, has been promoted to President, effective immediately. In his new role, Keenan will assume day-to-day management responsibilities, including envisioning, defining and executing MicroCorp’s strategic initiatives to address the emerging opportunities in the cloud solutions marketplace and increase penetration within the Value Added Reseller (VAR) community. Brad Miehl, MicroCorp’s current President, will continue to serve as MicroCorp’s owner and founder, while Karin Fields will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer in addition to her current role as Chief Operating Officer.
“Since joining the team last year, Phil has played an integral role in developing relationships with key vendor partners, guiding our cloud strategy and refining our position among VARs,” said Brad Miehl, founder of MicroCorp. “The executive management experience and relationships Phil has amassed throughout his career in the telecommunications industry will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and evolve our portfolio of cloud and telecom solutions for our VAR and agent channels.”
Keenan’s proven track record of strategic growth in both early phase and established public companies, as well as his in-depth knowledge of the VAR channel and cloud solutions led to his promotion as President. Prior to joining MicroCorp in 2013, Keenan served in a number of executive leadership positions including Executive Vice President, North America at Mitel Networks, Vice President of Multimedia and Telepresence Solutions at Nortel and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Polycom. In 2012, he was voted a CRN Channel Chief of the Year
“I am delighted and honored to have the opportunity to build upon MicroCorp’s successes in my new role as President,” said Keenan. “From dedicated pricing teams and white glove support to the proprietary Nautilus system, Brad and Karin have dedicated the last 28 years to developing the people, processes and systems required to make MicroCorp the highly respected Master Agency it is today. I look forward to continuing my work with our team, vendors and partners to refine and strategically position the unique value-added capabilities MicroCorp can deliver to the VAR and agent communities.”
